1．美国联邦储备银行，简称美联储（Federal Reserve Bank Fed）美国中央银行完全独立的制定货币政策，来保证经济获得最大程度的非通货膨胀增长。Fed主要政策指标包括：公开市场运作，贴现率(Discount Rate)联邦资金利率（Fed Fundsrate）。

2．联邦公开市场委员会（F），FOMC主要负责制定货币政策，包括每年制定8次的关键利率调整公告。FOMC共有12名成员，分别由7明政府官员，纽约联邦储备银行总裁，以及另外慈宁宫其他11个地方联邦储备银行总裁中现出的任期为一年的4名成员。

3．利率（Interest Rates），联邦资金利率（Fed Funds Rate），是最为重要的利率指标，也是储蓄机构之间相互贷款的隔夜贷款利率。当Fed希望向市场表达明确的货币政策信号时，会宣布新的利率水平。每次这样的宣布都会引起股票，债券和货币市场较大的动荡。
